Spring Sports Information

Just a reminder to all spring families that the following items need to be completed prior to tryouts. Please scroll down the page for the checklist:

Update schedule as of Monday, March 29:

Softball- will be outside from 2:45-4:45pm, athletes should bring their equipment (glove, bat, helmet) along with water bottle with name on it. Meet at the varsity field to be screened.

Baseball- will be outside from 3:00-5:00pm. Meet at the baseball fields at 2:45 for screening. Athletes should bring their own equipment (gloves, bat, helmet) along with water bottle with name on it.

Boys and Girls Outdoor Track- will be outside from 2:30-4:30pm, athletes should be dressed for cool weather ( sweats, hats, gloves/mittens). Athletes should bring water bottle with name on it. Meet on the track at 2:30 for screening.

Girls lacrosse- will be outside from 4:00-5:30pm. Athletes should be dressed for cool weather (sweats, hats, gloves/mittens) along with stick, goggles, cleats/sneakers and own water bottle with name on it. Meet in the stadium bleachers at 3:45 for screening.

Boys lacrosse- Tryouts/practice will be at New England Sports Center (formerly Sportszone in Derry) for the week. Bus will leave at 2:45. Please meet at 2:30 in the café for screening. Please bring equipment ( helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, cleats/sneakers, stick and own water bottle with name on it. Practice/tryout will be from 3:30-5:00pm at NE Sports Center. Bus should be back at Alvirne around 5:45.

Boys tennis- will be outside from 2:30-4:00pm. Please meet iat the tennis courts at 2:30 for screening. Athletes should bring tennis racket, sneakers along with own water bottle with name on it.

Girls tennis- will be outside from 4:00-5:30. Please meet at the tennis courts at 3:45 for screening. Athletes should bring tennis racket and sneakers. Please dress for cool weather ( sweats, hat, gloves/mittens). Bring own water bottle with name on it.


Wednesday 3/31 and Thursday's 4/1 weather isn't looking great. Please be prepared for either indoor or outdoor practices. Coaches will let players know after Tuesday's practice/tryouts. 

 

 Please be sure to go through each one. They are numbered 1-7 making sure you have done each one.

The last link is to register your child at the high school on Family ID.

  1. 5.  Physicals- can be emailed to athletic director or athlete may hand in on the first day of practice

All incoming freshmen and juniors are required to hand in a copy of a recent physical ( within a year). Convenient Med is option for physicals(please call ahead) if you are not able to see your primary. 

  1. 6.  Athletic policy meeting for any parent who has not previously attended a policy meeting. There will be a zoom meeting on Thursday, March 25 at 6:30. Please contact the athletic director for the zoom link.

 

  1. 7.   Academic eligibility- For the Spring of 2021, All students must be passing two classes.
