Academic WorldQuest™

Academic WorldQuest Logo

Academic WorldQuest™ is a flagship youth educa
tion program of the national network of World Affairs Councils.  It is a team game testing high school students' knowledge of international affairs. In the game, four-person teams compete by answering multiple choice questions divided into ten unique and engaging thematic categories.

Each state’s winning team is awarded an expense-paid trip to Washington, DC to compete in the National Competition.  The runner-up team is also awarded a prize.  In 2018-2019, our first year competing, Alvirne finished a respectable Third Place (out of nearly 20 teams from around the state), finishing ahead of teams that have been competing for several years!

There is one competition held in the Spring (date TBD).  Our team will meet once a month in Oct-Dec, then more frequently from January through March.
