Spring Sports Information

A message from the Athletic Director:

Good afternoon

As you have heard by now, the governor has extended remote learning until the end of the school year. As a result of this announcement, the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association has cancelled the spring season. While I am not surprised by this, it is still disappointing for many reasons. The following request is important on many levels. I am asking any parent who has a student at the high school who was planning on participating in a spring sport this year to please go to the following link and register your child.    https://www.familyid.com/organizations/alvirne-high-school        If they have participated in either the fall or winter, you would simply need to update the info and sign off on some forms for the spring. If this spring is the first time your child will be participating in a sport, you will need to be sure to have your medical card, insurance, doctor information, your child’s medical history with you at the time you register them. The nice feature about Family ID is you only have to fill this information out once and update it as needed. The reason why I am asking for this is to ensure that all athletes who planned on participating in this spring season gets credited for it even though the season was cancelled. It is important that seniors especially register as it could affect your eligibility for being recognized as a twelve season athlete. For the underclassmen, it is equally important for you to be registered so that at the end of your high school career, you are given credit for being part of a spring sport this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at kbonney@sau81.org
Stay safe
